Help with connection W108 280SE 4.5 1972

Hi. Any hint on where this connector goes?

I am removing the wood from my dash and this was just hanging around. On the right hand side near (behind) glove box

The big blue book, which I don't have handy, has each of the connectors and wire color patterns spelled out. Based on the location, that looks like one of the blower controls.

That connector reminds me of the good old days when everything, including that connector, could be easily repaired. Instead of today just throwing it out and installing a new one.

What a great vehicle. Although I also remember the noisy squirrel box fan that I see on the passenger side kick panel. My 1970 6.3 had that.

That looks like the connection for a four prong relay. Look under your hood and you will see what a four prong relay is supposed to look like.

See if one of the holes is to ground all the time. Then check for 12v at one of the poles when the ignitions is on. If so you have a plug for a relay.

Now the question is, if it is a relay connection, where do the other two wires come from and where to they go? Since this is in the air conditioner area I would guess this might go to a high or low pressure cut off switch next to your air conditioner dryer. But that is just a guess.

Thank you guys.
I finished removing the wood, that includes stereo, glove box, etc.
I been looking all around and it seems there’s no place for this connector.

From the wiring manual, the wire colors are the same as the ones for the A/C switch. Also the area where it resides it’s close.
But there’s already another connector for these controls. I assume it’s provisioned for a different equipment in cars.

In my 109 there is are 2 of 4pin connectors. One is at the right side of the heater core box and the other is at the heater levers, upper left side where the fan switch is operated.
I guess from the location it is the one in the heater core.

Second that. If you are working on the wood, be ultra careful. I found that out that hard way myself.
