W108 Column Shift Bushings

I have a 72 280SE W108 and I’ve removed my steering wheel, hub, shaft bolt, Allen bolts and all clips holding the top bushing, shaft and bearing but can’t seem to remove the aluminum horn contact ring from the shaft. Is there a specific way this comes off? Better yet, does this piece come off and is there another bushing under it? I’m aware of the bushing that’s on left held by a small C clip.

I looked at a 67 parts car I have and I Note a Snap Ring on that aluminum part you mention . Its on the Inner diameter is the Snap ring . Remove it and see what happens

I believe the early 108's have a different horn contact piece at the end of the column. But I did try removing the snap ring from the steering wheel bearing as well to see if that was holding it on but I still couldn't get it off.
