grill rubber grommet
Is it easier to attach the rubber grommet to the back of the grill or to the front of the hood? '71 w114. There wasn't one on it before just glue residue on the hood. I have the notched on the curved part type with adhesive tape on the grommet. Series 1 grill. I also have a series 2 grill grommet with molded curved corners that I bought by mistake if any body needs one.

On my '73 the rubber is attached to the hood. There's a larger surface there for it to adhere to.
