w114 heat riser hose?

I don't have a place to attach the other end of the heat riser hose. There is no place, no bracket, or shield. Is the 55mm hose necessary with dual Zeniths from 1971? What does the correct fit look like?

my recollection is that it was a pressed metal shield on the back manifold. But it's been a few decades. -CTH

That looks the same as w108. The tube just slip fits on the air cleaner and the other end on a w108 fits a bracket bolted to the exhaust manifold.

There is a two part (clam shell) kind of tin box that goes around the down pipes. It likely has rusted away. Look for feed connector against the firewall to the passenger side.

There isn't anything at all, only some part of a flange on one of the pipes.

There isn't anything at all. Someone must have remove it to give themselves more room. Anyone have a photo of the bracket?

this picture shows the w108 part

You need someone with real EPC to find the part number.

Call MB, it's called "scoop"

I bought a new hose a few years ago from https://www.authenticclassics.com/Heat-Riser-Hose-from-Exhaust-Manifold-to-Air-p/auth-007732.htm

Looks like out of stock, maybe they will make more later?

My 250C is different, see items 15 and 16. It goes over both down pipes.
