early 3 wire window motors

I need help from some of you oldtimers. I own an early production
300sel no. 109016 12 000320. It was built in 1968. It has the early style power window regulators w/ seperate motor rubber hub drive to gearbox to window lift.and 3wire motors
the wndow regulators and motors were changed to intregal, motor/gearbox 2wire motors in may of 69
The threewire motors were wired with 12volts to motor and swiched to ground by the switch with one or the other wires to change direction
Does anyone rember a service information on how to convert to 2 wire motors and regulators which are less expensive and easier to locate?

Totally different wire pattern and different switches.

You will have to tear out the entire interior.

Used motors are findable for a lot less aggrevation than that. It's the cost of ownership.

3wire to 2wire window moter conversion

Not so cth350 I recently recieved a fax of an m/b sevice information dated march 1988 from believe it or not m/b usa,llc classic car parts.
They were very helpfull.as the bulliten gives part no,s and detailed instuctions on how to make wiring harness/add 2 relays , and most important of all retain original switches wiring to them etc. I will e mail or fax to someone w/simular problem. As i said m/b USA classic car parts were more helpful than the many people including dealers who wanted to sell me the wrong parts

You're right. A few extra relays would do it. -CTH
