I'll bet you have a bad brake hose (the rubber line). What happens is that these hoses swell on the inside and act like a one-way valve, not letting the fluid back to the master cylinder. I'd recommend checking that out first and if you find that the hose is in fact bad, replace both fronts at the same time, or better yet, replace all four hoses and do a brake fluid change. The way to check if the hose is bad is to remove the pads from the caliper, undo the bleed screw on the caliper and squeeze the pistons back a little into the caliper. If they go back with the bleeder open, the hose is bad. If not, you may have a seized piston in the caliper, which would either require a rebuild or replacement caliper.
