Which automatic will fit my 68 250S?
My automatic transmission is apparently losing a bearing, it whines after 40mph, and at 75mpg+, the car is vibrating like an out of balance tire and the sound becomes more localized and louder too.
I tried moving the drive shaft at the flex joint for side play in the rear of the trans, but seems tight. Just replaced the center bearing and rubber carrier, and no problem with either U-joint... If it were an out of balance shaft, I don't think it would make a noise, would it? There are several trans in my local yards, but need to know if one from a 280s or 280sel six will fit. I assume I need a trans to fit the M130 engine...?

Never mind, I looked in the Adsit catalog and they list the different trannys,, same as a 280...
