Talking I rebuilt Ginas driver seat!

Here are some pictures of my rebuild.

I used a passenger side seat from a good donor car, and dismantled both.
I then rebuilt the drivers seat with the "new" cushions from the donor.

The only difference in the seats were the hinges. They are handed because of the recliner knob. I simply used my original hardware and threw the others away.

The vinyl covers come off easily with your hands. They are not held on by hog rings, or anything else. They simply slip into channels. Just compress the springs and slip them off. Once you do it, you will understand...

and the seat back.

The white stuff is from the inside of the cover. It is a soft cotton batting.

The difficult part was getting the screws out of the hinges. I was fortunate with my original seat and sucessfully removed them. The donor seat was from a later model 108, i think it was a 72, and these screws had to hacked through. Didn't care because that seats hinges were not being used again.
