Creaking door hinge
The car is a 1963 220 SEb cabriolet. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to eliminate the open/close door creaking from a door hinge. I have tried injecting the small hole in the hinge that looks like it has a poppet valve with a needle lubricating nozzle, but it won't accept the grease. I have also tried penetrating fluid. Do I have to remove the door and disassemble the hinge? Do I need special tools or a press to disassemble the hinge? If necessary, is it a major job to remove that heavy door? My mainatenance manual doesn't cover this subject.

Gregg,
You're on the right track by trying to grease that fitting with a needle nozzle. I had one the wouldn't accept grease on the 4.5 and what I ended up doing was taking an awl and freeing up the little spring loaded ballbearing. Right in the center of the grease point is a small hole which is sealed by a spring loaded ball. It could be stuck from age, rust or a repaint. Work at it, you'll get the grease in.
