Need to ID some diesel pistons

I have a really nice set of pistons which I believe are
for an early diesel. I know of a fellow who is looking
to rebuild an OM636 diesel who might need them.
The measurement "87.45" millimeters is stamped on
the tops of them. The previous owner cannot recall
if the pistons were for a 180D or a 190D.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Definitely not for OM636... Kolbenschmidt catalog states that all OM636 have 75 (nominal)mm pistons. Also offers other two diameters-75.50 and 76.00. All with 5 piston rings!!Engines from 1951 and on.. Unfortunately, unger "87,45" comes up only the compression height of various engines....
Good luck!
Possibly U could cross-reference the numbers of KS piston sets with those of other piston manuf.(Mahle for ex.)
for OM636 75,00mm -90 278 600
75,50mm -90 278 610
76,00mm -90 278 630

The piston set yau have is probably of a OM621.910 190D (1958-61)30kW-40hp. The funny thing is that the catalog says it's also for :
OM621.912-.916
OM621.918-.919
OM621.930-.932 -verbatim
If the catalog`s correct (and it is)those include
W110 190Dc, w100 200D ,some types of Unimogs and light weight MB trucks. If you want to sell it,it`d be quite easy... ;)
However, this cat. says 87,50mm under KS Nr
90 989 610
Once again ,good luck!

by the way, what`s the manufacturer?

Did you ever sell these pistons?

I'm still trying to identify them. They were made by Mahle.
The castings have inside them:

MAHLE 87P7+
138 55 (or 56 or W51)

I took some pictures to show them. Hopefully they show
up well. They have never been used and have 87.43
stamped on them, (not 87.50 as I said earlier.)

Well, I just don`t want to mislead you...I know Mahle supplied Daimler-Benz, Kolbenschmidt could`ve made some variations, maybe the catalog`s not correct.Anyway , 138 must be the casting number, maybe "P" stands for "presskolbe" (forged piston)...Is there any date on the packing?Did they arrive assembled with the rings(as it should be)?? Really sorry, that`s all I could do..Hope someone recognises`em...
On the drawing of OM621 and 615 the chambers and the valve pockets look like those on your pics...
OM615.913,
915 and
942 :
1 rectangular 3mm height
1 rect. 2mm
1 double-bevelled oil contr. 4mm chromium plated on all sides ring.......
really,can`t help you.
