One trick is to reverse the ones you've got.... turn them around so compressed edge between lens and tailight assembly is fresh and uncrushed.

NancyR,
Are you referring to the seals between the lens and the taillight housing assy or the seals between the taillight housing and car? Or all of them? For the seal between the lens and housing, you may be able to use the rubber/vinyl stripping that hardware stores sell for retaining screening into storm windows and doors. I looked at one of my spare 250 taillights and it looks like the strip will just fit into the groove in the taillight housing. A roll of the stuff is cheap and will probably be enough to do 20 taillights. As for the gasket between the taillight housing and the body, I don't have an easy solution. If you can't find original, you could experiment with the different types of weatherstripping or caulking strips availible. Happy Motoring, Mark

yes its the one between the body and tail light housing.
these look like they epanded thur the years,I guess maybe treating them with armor all might help compress them back when assembling just as quick fix untill I can find new ones? |

Original seals are available from Mercedes. $20-$30 per piece.
