Thumbs up +++ Home made Battery Tray +++

All things considered, I am satisfied with the final result.
Because the first cut (lower left) was to deep, the bent was a little off.
A 6 3/4" X 9" battery fits just right. It took 3 metal cut off blades to make 8 X 45deg. small cuts. The metal is app.1/8" thick. It's easy to bend, once the cuts are made.
Just need to drill a few more holes to bolt it in place and I'm done.

Dan

Looks like it will outlive the rest of the car, or even the driver!

Those cut off wheels are handy but a hacksaw is more appropriate for this kind of work, and would be cheaper.

Not sure about that; I prefer the drill do the work insted of my arm!
Cheaper? maybe.... I allready had the drill, bits etc...a pack of 5 blades $4.
I have to say that the angle iron is a dificult form to work with your foot

Here is the finished product.......

Ran out of black spay paint for the hold down bracket.
The redish color you see is "rust converter's" chemical reaction.
