dimple cut keys
Do any of you have the dimple cut type of key ? if so where would you get it cut , can you use a code to cut it ? I got a quote to cut a replacement key , done in Germany , for $250. Can you believe it.
Have you ever heard of MB giving out these codes ? I got my build card sent from the classic centre but they blocked out the key info. Is there another place on the care ( 1967 300SEL ) that these codes might be ? Thanks all |

Unless that is a very special key, cost should be in the 20-30 dollar range. Will have to come from Germany, but are they selling you the entire lock system and not just a key? You should be able to order a key from the dealer or good independent with the chassis #.

What it is is a dimple cut key , basically holes get drilled in predetermined spots to depths
determined by the key code. This is unlike most MB keys , right ? I think this is special to that model , does anyone know ? |

Special MB part smells like money to me......
I've not seen anything like this. Peter
