A friend passed on the details of this website and I have decided to join!
I live in Canberra, the Capital of Austalia. I have a 1972 280CE factory 5 speed manual. Dark green (not sure of name of colour) with cream interior and a sunroof. I am the second owner of this local car - no rust, straight body but needs a respray. I have owned it for 12 months and love it! It is my first benz but I have owned peugeots, jap cars and a heap of locally built cars. My children have called the benz 'Eva' and she has her original delivery docket and books. She was owned by a local doctor and was specially ordered with a 5 speed manual gearbox. I will post some pics later Cheers, Mark Last edited by Marks Benz; 01-17-2004 at 09:05 PM. |

Just join the party, Mark! I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of "Eva", judging from your description she can't be anything short of a beauty. I bought my '72 250 sedan three days ago, so I'm totally new to the world of MB's. She's called "Laura", by the way...

Welcome Mark.
I think you'll find this site and the vintage forum has people who can answer most any question you might have or help you through what ever problem arises. One thing to remember though, be sure to remind us what year and model you have when you post AND be sure to let everyone know you have a RHD. It can get confusing when one member calls a location as "on the driver's side" and readers envision the left side while the poster meant the right. Again, welcome.
