URGENT! 4.5 valve clearances?
What are the valve clearances for a 4.5?

.10 mm (.004") for the intake valves and .20 mm (.008") for the exhaust valves. Clearance is measured cold.

Well, I searched and got that, but in a Chilton's book that i rented from the library, it said .003" for intake and .007" for exhaust.

Well, you're both half right:
0.003" (0.08mm) Intake. 0.008" (0.20mm) exhaust! According to the emissions plate on the front crossmember, and my emissions control booklet:

Just to muddy the waters here - aint no crime in erring at opening them slightly too far (especially exhaust valves) - say .0045 intake and .009 exhaust......... old hot-rod trick for picking up compression on tired old engines.

Well I didnt do much to them today as I lost the crow's foot for it temporarily, but when it gets warmer, I will do that.
