How do you tighten a mirror?

How do you tighten an outside mirror on a 108, if it can be done? Mine moves all over the place.
Thanks
Tim

Have you tried Lock-Tite on the ball socket?? .....the actual screw for tightening is probably buried behind the glass, requiring surgical removal of white plastic inner frame and glass which is spring loaded from behind - cant be easy for reassembly.

Another idea might be twisting the mirror a couple of turns clockwise to tighten the screw.

The screw that holds the spring and ball socket down is all rusty, and the chances that you will get it tight are nil -- I broke mine on the 220D (its in aluminum and siezed solid).

Set the mirror where you want it and superglue the swivel down. If you want an adjustable mirror, keep looking in junkyards and on eBay til you find one.
