anyone live close to here,YUCAIPA CA

checking on a car there just wondered if anyone was very close

Yucaipa is about 20-30 miles from my office in Ontario, CA.

I'd be willing to drive out there for you if you are really interested in the car, and also if the seller would be willing to show it during the day. I'm sure I could sneak out of the office some time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Anytime after that, traffic would be horrendous.

car in Yucaipa

thank you for the reply.

i sent a e-mail to see if the hours between 9 am and 3 pm would be ok to come by and look at the car.

this is a situation where i would have to have a complete tuneup done on the car. all the fluids changed, trans and rearend and new tires put on so i could drive it back to oklahoma.

i'd hate to have you running around and me not figuare that i can get all that done from here at a shop at a price i could live with for the time being. sounds like the tires may need aired up to at least check the clutch action and see if it has any (breaks duh) brakes.

had i the time i would go ahead and fly out and do the work myself but there is to many things to check and perhaps a lot of minor items such as head and tail lights to fix, u joints carrier bearing if it has one. a lot of other items i can't think of at this time.
the flight out one way is just $177 to LAX then i have to get there from the aiport. to much with to little time. sure hate to get stuck halfway home.

i'm going to look up the obvious parts here on fast lane tha wouldbe need so i have a idea of the cost.

here is the link to the car on E-bay in case someone else is interested,

Let me know what the seller says.

If you buy the car and fly out, you would be much better off flying into Ontario. It is an international airport, and Southwest, as well as practically every other airline, flys there.

You would be only 20-30 minutes from Yucaipa.

LAX would be a good 1.5 to 2.0 hours.

i just wanted to thank you again for the offer for checking the car out.
in the photo's it looks pretty good other than the area just behind the drivers front wheel.
it's rather hard to tell from the photo.

do you know of any auto transport business in that area.

trying to fly out and fix... drive back here and maybe break down on the way home and have to let it set for a while in storage is the major problem.
i'd rather pay $750 as i have seen some listings for the cost of transport from the west coast to various ares sounds a lot better to me.

again thank you for the replys.

heck go buy it yourself!!

don't let it get away.

suginami 03-01-2004 05:38 PM

Sorry, but I don't know of any transport company in the area.

Others on this website have used a car carrier. Try a search and see what you get.

suginami, i want to thank you for offering to look at the car for me.

i sent three messages thru ebay to the guy that has this car listed and have received no reply so i am going to pass on placing a bid.
