MAACO...NO NO and NO
in the eighties I had 3 cars repainted by Maaco in Glenside,Pa...excellent job for the money...MOVED...got estimate from Mechanixburg,Pa. shop for $1000. (for Alfa convertible) this included taking out 6 dings and painted with 2001 BMW silver...I went to pick up car and they had not touched the dings...they painted right over and it was listed right on the estimate for the time and repair cost for these.. excuse....the regular painter did not show up that day and shop foreman had to paint...still no excuse for not taking out the dings...argument ensued...they claimed I GOT MY MONEYS WORTH!!!...we then started talking lawsuit..they started talking storage costs per day until court day...yeh that is right...always know who u are dealing with..at last minute they tried to negotiate...they would redo car and fix the dings that I was charged with but I would have to bring car back in a month BECAUSE THE PAINT WAS NOT DRY...6 weeks later I pick up car again and they did fix the dings perfectly but then they painted the car with barn enamel and wrong color...excuse....shop foreman did not show up that day...all Ma aco are different...some are good and some are horrible...and how do you know the difference..I guess it is like a lemon...u taste it and see!

I do not intend to have my car painted by MAACO, but finding a good painter is hard, my car is slick with about 1 square inch of dents and 2 square inches of surface rust several deep key marks, $3,500 ought to buy a pefect paint job, I thought.
