M117 4.5 right head do I need to put this on ebay?

I just took the valve cover off the engine and lookee, some PO did some expensive work. LMK if anyone is interested otherwise it will end up on ebay..... This old 280SE 4.5 is funding my 300TD resto project.....

hmm new cam and used towers? or a refurbished cam?

Benzcrusher: What's the # on the back of that cam? (Might not be able to check w/o a mirror unless you take it off). If it's a 47/48, we have a member here who definetly would want that cam/tower/rocker set (tosbt)... 52/53 is stock 4.5, and 54/55 or 56/57 is later-model, smogged 450 cams (I remembered the ones I yanked off mine to be 56/57, not 54/55)...

Benzcrusher: Those are the ALUMINUM-BACKEd guide rails? What's the condition of the plastic on them? Worn, or is it nice? If it's good, would you be willing to part with those?

(I want to change my rails but I still am reserved about replacing the nice metal ones with the plastic ones)
