MB parts availability link

One of my favorite links:

http://wwwsg.daimlerchrysler.com/ClassicMain/C2C/etpl?etpl_lang=01

Type in your part number and see whether MB still carries it (and for how much). It is a link of the main MB Classic website.

I'm going to throw my site up on here:

My Mercedes w108 and w109 resource site - it's nowhere near finished (I'd say ~20% right now) but I am working on it in my spare time to get the content updated. I am aiming for a 1-stop resource site for 108 and 109 owners, with DIY articles and so forth.

Fintail Restoration Blog ("Blue Max")

Hi, this is my own blog documenting the restoration of my car - I will be building one car using two donor cars - on mechanically excellent but rusty 220b, the other a 220Sb with a great body and interior.

I am not a mechanical guru, but I am a photographer, and I am going to do and document most of the restoration myself, my experiences and pains will be useful to other typical people :-)

You've actually got to do some browsing in the above sites. 111 specific links are found within many of those sites.

Best source to find paint thats exact match to MB code specs. They've got touch up tubes, spray cans, gallons or whatever. The color catalogue here goes back to 1952: www.paintscratch.com

Thank You All!

If corporate America worked as well as the folks on this site, we would all be light years ahead.

Other than in emergency situations, I have never experienced so many people joining together to support each other, my hat is off to all of you!

Thank you all for your help and support! Paul

Paul, if MB haint offering 108 CD's anymore then they oughta bust open the info online. Specially if they're annoyed at seein em pirated and sold for profit at ebay etc. Hence defeat internet copyright swindlers by makin the info *freely available* says me.

Any MB Corporate (Daimler Benz Auto Group) ringers here? Please tell em at Stuttgart the Dog suggests good will and they oughta publish online 108 shop manual link here, also 114/115/116 texts too. Knowin by standing wholeheartedly behind the vintage series then MB legacy never loses a beat. Thats question of backbone building y'all caint put a price on.

Meanwhile to keep the links forum moving (and not political) here's spark plug diagnostic chart useful to reconnoitre usin hotter plugs, dx'ing valve guide seals etc. Spark plugs tell everything we wanna know about meetin tune up specs - carb adjust, valve clearances, ignition system etc. Easily the most intuitive diagnostic tool is annual spark plug econnoitre/inspection/replacement on daily driven classic/vintage MB's.
