Just saw a very nice W111 220SE in Houston...
Went around some MB Indie shops to interview and saw an awesome 220SE. Looks like mine but it was in Copenhaggen Blue with a light creme interior. It was in fantastic condition. Even the wood looked like it was just redone. Those W111's that don't come with the side markers look so much better. Looked under the car and it looks like they just redid all of the suspension bits as they look factory fresh, I mean everthing was shiny.
Had Hawaii plates on and not Texas registration. I'm thinking it was just bought from Hawaii. One thing that strikes me is that MB Tex ages well. That one had MB Tex and it looked brand new! The carpet looked original though. Just thought I'd share.

Saw a 220SE convertable at Enrique's shop in Tarzana, CA, yesterday. It was sky blue with dark blue leather. Wood refinnished. MINT condition. Must have cost a fortune to restore.
