Here's my advice, go to the 280s Engine Swap thread and see what skalie says about demand for these cars in Nederlands.

Knowing that ebay offers free relisting of items for sellers, maybe you would have better luck relisting with European Ebay instead of its North American equivalent....... As back up plan, you can wait until end of August for North Amer. ebay relisting when kids return to college and many will be looking for economical transportation.

On Euro Ebay listing, you first probably want to figure out how to ship the car overseas, how much it will cost, etc. Even though the buyer will be paying shipping charges, this will help you determine the price you can expect...... after you have also surfed European listings to get an idea.

Sorry to say that $600 to $800 USD is about the best you can expect in the current market.
Try looking at Mercedes Benz 230 under Ebay completed items, this will show what rough current market value is.
