picture of my 110 fintail

this is my 65 ,110 fintail. im from the philippines and old mercedes benz like this are very cheap here. i got mine for only $400 in good condition but i wanted it to be perfect and spent $ 3,000 for restoration. It is very hard to find parts for old Mercedes ,unlike in the US new or surplus parts are readily available. However the best thing to do is to find a junk Mercedes of the same model and use it for parts . but i also have some parts that i bought from the US . I dont know how much are these in the US but i had fun restoring it and looking forward to my next project car.

Very nice.

They aren't worth much more in the states. The blue book values are a lot higher than what people are paying for them.
I paid too much for mine.

You have restored the car yourself?? Looks like very good work. I'm not certain of production figures on the 110 sedan, but the model is reported to have covered the entire globe.

I had a '63 190c once and swapped ALL the wood trim and dashboard panels from a 220Sb into the car. The pieces fit perfectly and it was not a difficult job to do.

i did some mechanical restoring by myself overhauling the carbs, brakes and other stuff but mostly the painting, body works and engine overhaul was done by a shop.

Hi

Very nice car! I love to have something like that but car prices here are ridiculous. I saw the same model in very good condition going for US40K. And that is considerd a good price. The Pagoda roof 280 SLs can fetch US$50K easily.

And are full of filler.........

have seen too many *rustorations* of W110/111/113 to take the poor things seriously anymore. That's the reason I bought a W107, got fed up of all the *experts* trying to tell me how much the cars are worth elsewhere, especially the W113s, many of which will NEVER run again, due to seized injection pumps and rusty fuel tanks.
Have a good week.
