Our project has been slow (67 250se) but I am determind to get it running before spring. It has been dormant for ten years. After several attempts we have back-tracked and replaced or repaired parts. The fuel tank has been re-done once and is now back at renu to unclog the internal lines they plugged up, new fuel pump ready to be primed and tested.
I read in another post a mention of taking care to prepare the fuel injection pump and replacing it's oil etc.. before turning over a dormant motor. Can anyone give me details of what needs to be done with the inject pump before we try our second attempt. I cringe at the thought of having to replace that pump at $1200.
Also, are there any other things that I need to be aware of before attempt number two?
Thanks in advance for any help...and [B
