who is this guy?????

Please bear with me for a moment, I just have to vent.

Who is this "euroautoparts" guy on ebay???

I have watched him post the same stupid mirror on ebay for $111. and $30. for shipping, for six months! This guy is in Berlin and must think these things are rare objects of art, or that they don't exist outside of Germany.

I get so sick of people that think that just because the part is mb that they should get a fortune for it. I will NEVER buy a part from this guy, even if its the only one left on earth.

I feel better now.........thanks for your patience.

I've never seen the listing, but maybe he doesn't intend to sell it. Maybe listing things on ebay lends some excitement to an otherwise dull life. I have seen items in local paper want ads for $7.50 and I know the ad cost more. I think some people are lonesome.

The same guy who had the 108 subframe rebuild kit - when it used to be around $90 on FastLane - for $125 with a Buy It Now of $150! He must think that Americans don't have good sources for Benz parts other than eBay.

Part of it is that we (U.S. folks) can usually get lower prices over here than they can over there (western europe) because of the VAT tax situation. The taxes are so high and they are built into the prices, so if you buy something retail you might be paying 20% more than the list price just in taxes. Here in Oregon we don't even have ANY sales tax so the net price of the parts tends to be pretty darn cheap compared to in europe.

When my cousin from Holland comes over here I like to take him to the MB or Porsche dealership and watch him drool -- the cars themselves are a WHOLE lot cheaper than what he can get them for over there (again because of the horrendous taxes they put on performance cars and especially ones with large displacement engines).

Just my 2 cents.

BTW, if you don't like someone's prices, don't bid. Eventually they'll get bored of having nothing selling.

He may be legitimate. Prices in Germany are crazy and there's an awful lot of Germans watching english Ebay. It may just be target marketing with no real intention of selling to Americans.

I bought a set of euro lamps for my 560 from him. He is real. Some are more $$ than others. He is free to ask for more. You don't have to buy either.
