Looking to sell or part out a 300SEL 4.5 what's the best way to go

I've got a 300SEL 4.5 that was going to be a project car but we just don't have the time or interest right now so it's got to go to make space for the 107. Should I take the time to part this car out or just try and sell it whole. It ran last year but hasn't seen the road in a long time. Somone had put new airbags in it before we got it. The fenders have surface rust but no cancer. They are probably worth as much as the rest of the car. This car would need full restoration. The car is pretty straight but the paint is trashed and the leather is well worn.
If anyone is interested I'll get it out from under the pile of Mercedes parts and gets some pictures of it and see if I can get it to run but I figure it's just easier to part it out. I don't want to see it go straight to a crusher though. It's just too rare of a car and parts are hard to find.

Where are you? I could use a parts car but you know how it is distance and all. I am in the process of bringing mine up to a high standard could use some things.

Sorry, should have guessed people would want to know that the car is in North Eastern PA in Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton area.

Well, how much are you asking for the car? Towing to my area probably wouldn't be much. I'd have to check it out to see how the rust is myself, of course. I don't know if I could take another car on, but you've piqued my intrest. Perhaps some pics would help? Parting out might get you more money (debatable on what sells and for how much) but then you're gonna wind up trashing the rest, plus time it will take to dismantle everything...

Getting it to scranton wouldn't be too dificult. Things are pretty busy right now but I'll see what I can do to unbury it to get some pictures of it. It would probably still start but my first guess is that the fuel pump will be seized by now. Let's wait to see if I can get it started before we start talking $$. If the motor runs well with no smoke and the suspension pumps up then maybe there's some hope for her other than the scrap heap.
