A WOW! 1973 250C coupe ready to restore!

Was on a trip out of town today and spotted a gold 1973 250C coupe with black interrior for sale. No rust. The car started on the first turn of the key. Interrior is actually pretty good. Only two dash cracks. It had no visible rust and someone had put a cheap paint job on it sad to say, but it was a good restoration car.

I saw it at a used car dealer in Fremont, NC outside of Goldsboro, NC on Highway 117 heading to Wilson, NC. The lot was in town. I stopped and heard it run and the owner said he got it from one of those Kidney Foundation sales where it had been donated.

His phone number is 919-242-9555. He does not know much about Mercedes. That I can tell!

email with any questions

underside rust is all that counts in that car. Are the floors, firewall & all the rails intact? Poke them hard with a philips head screwdriver to prove it.

A crap paint job can easily hide bondo on the quarters and at the head & tail of the rockers. -CTH

Twin-cam or single? It's either a '72 or a 280C.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Or could be '72 registered as '73, not uncommon for last year's Benz to be registered one year later. And that color combo (metalic?) Gold on Black strikes me as classic colors for the MB coupe.
