Question jmat

My dad has an 87 SEL 420 and it will not start. It was working fine about a month ago but then all of a sudden it does not work anymore. He is trying to trouble shoot to see where the problem is. He believes that it is the fuse because he changed the ignition control modulator and he changed the igniton coil but it is not getting any fire (so he says). What should he do.
