Some eBay stuff up...

I won't link you guys in here, but I did want you to know: I have a power steering pump, 3.5 manifold bottom and top, starter, and m116/m117 valve covers up for auction on eBay (5 auctions, 2 for the manifold since I think the bottoms might be compatible with 4.5's as well). I will be sticking more up later. If any of you are interested, let me know. It's all got pretty low prices (I think). Trying to sell some stuff for Clark (also a member here, the local guy I met at an MB shop and got the 3.5 heads and cams from). I've been so busy that this is the first change I've had to sit for over an hour and type up the descriptions, crop the images, and throw the stuff up on eBay.

Just threw up some recently redone 4.5 heads (1 for each). Will probably post the other set of heads, along with cams, later in the week.

How about your head job

hai TomGuy,

Here from Holland (europE) we are very interested in the progress you make with the 3.5 head project. Have you any results yet?

Regards

I wish I had a way of measuring the power. It definetly feels stronger, though it could be in my head (pun intended). I had no problems getting it to a higher speed than I thought was mechanically possible with it...

I also want to experiment with the 3 sets of cams - the 3.5's that are on now, the 52/53 series, and 56/57 series. I wanted to measure lift, I had a hunch that maybe the 3.5 cams don't provide quite as much because of its smaller displacement... Another reason I need to buy an m116/m117 book

Also, I still want to get my hands on a K-Jet manifold and throttle body from like a 5.0 or 5.6. I really believe that it would give a power boost because it is larger in diameter.

they look small to me, but the efi rotaries come with a 3x45mm throttle and its only a 2.6liter engine....

You can get all the cam dimensions from the TDM. Mercedes should still sell them for about 30$ each. Get the 1972 TDM if you want to buy one book detailing both the 3.5 & 4.5 from 1968-1972 models. Get the 1973 book if you want 1972-73 info. 1-800-for-merc. -CTH
