108 heater fuse
Silly but true...
Why is the blower fuse shorter than the rest even though it's a 25 amp? My quandry is thus -- blew a few fuses dinking around with my heater. Now I have no fuses. There is small copper fitting rivited in my blower slot which mandates a short fuse. Can I just rip the sucker out and use a "manly" full-size fisue?? |

I don't know, but have wondered the same thing. Those little shorty fuses are a be-itch to find.

I don't know if it is true, but an old mechanic said it had to do with the fuses ability to withstand the load spikes, sort of a "slow blow" equivalent. Shouldn't be a huge issue, but many modifications are a one way street!

Probably so you won't use it as a 8amp fuse. I think your car might burn down before that 25 amp blows if you use it on a 8 amp holder. Also the length has no affect on amperage, it would depend on width and material composition
