1970 6.3 Power window problem

I am having the interior done on my car.
It is almost complete.

Windows were working fine 2 weeks ago.
Yesterday the driver rear wouldn't go up or down but all the other windows worked, and now today the passenger front wont go up or down either.
The fuses look ok, but we noticed some of the wires in the fuse box are bare.
Any advice?

Couple of thoughts. Are you looking at the window fuses? I believe that these should be along the firewall in two mini fuse boxes. Even if the fuses look good, it doesn't hurt to replace them and clean the contacts. Being a 1970, I assume that you have the "later" style windows with the front seat controls being on the transmission hump, not on the doors. These switches are generally reliable, but I have had some trouble with them. Sometimes you can isolate a problem by switching the connections on these switches and determine if the problem is "before", "after" or "in" the switch.

Good luck!

FYI, the window fuses are under the hood on the firewall. The windows are on the circuit diagonally, that is: Left Front and Right Rear on one fuse, Right Front and Left Rear on another. What you're describing sounds like a blown fuse. Are you sure the front pass went up and down yesterday, when the driver's rear didn't? Otherwise, it may be a bad wire in the door panels, or a loose contact at the motor.
