Angry Anyone have a spare trunk star to sell?

I'm looking for a trunk star for a 108. Last night, they attempted to pry mine off with a knife and broke it. Sons-a-*****es didn't know about the 13mm nut holding it on! They managed to scratch the paint up nicely, so I spent the afternoon with sandpaper, compound, and my bottle of PPG Omni-clear touchup. I got three scratches down to the DP epoxy layer, but not through (thank god).

So I park the car in a lot right next to my dorm at OSU, Columbus. They do this the night after we beat Northwestern. I plan to be sitting out there with a breaker bar and a knife for next weekend's Michigan game

So I file a report with the OSU police, but that's not going to do anything unless I want to file an insurance claim, and I'll have the paint work fixed up pretty well within a few weeks, anyway. It's just one of those things that pisses a guy off

So if anyone has a nice 108 trunk star for sale, I could use one, but I'm not putting a good one back on until I'm home for the summer. If you've got one, PM me.

I'd have rather they just stole a hubcap if they wanted a star, I can paint one of those in an afternoon, but now I've got to spend days carefully sanding and painting, and it's in such an obvious place, too, right above that star.

Thanks for letting me vent, I know others have lost a hood star, but they don't usually take out paint to do that. I already lock that star in the glove compartment when I park it for the night.

I have one from a 114. I don't know whether or not it will fit, but $14 plus shipping cost is fine with me. PM me if interested.

The one I have has an outside diameter or roughly 4 5/8". The part number is 111 758 51 58.

If the diameter matches, I'll take it. It'll be weeks before I can put it on, but I'd like to get one to make me feel better. I've got at least two more coats of paint before I get it built back up to the clear coat level, and with AVG temps back into the 50's, it'll take a week of drying time between each coat.

I think I have an old 108 lid star in my bag of tricks.
I can look tonight.
If I do it is yours.
