Charging problem, i already have new everything

hello, i have a 72 220 diesel, that is losing charge. ive had the alternator rebuilt, new regulator, and new battery. ive replaced the clamps and cleaned the negative mount. the generator light comes on when i turn the key but does not light when the car is running but is reading 12.2 v . any ideas?

If all components are OK, it must be a wiring problem, especially with the vibrations that the diesels are prone to. Look at where wires enter connectors or any place the alternator harness rubs against or is secured to the body.
If I were to suspect a component, I'd take that 'rebuilt' alternator and get it bench-tested.

As a remote possibility, I had charging problems and had it rebuilt and the regulator he put in was wrong. He tried a different part number alternator and that was wrong and on the third try he got the correct regulator. Milt.

It turned out that i needed a new belt. it broke and when i replaced it, the voltage went up immediatly.
