redline gear oil 80W/140 for noisy differential

does anyone tried this to a noisy differential ? does it really work? redline recommend this for differential with excessive noise is a problem.

I think that if you have a noisey diff, its wearning out... I dont have a clue though

Check your bearings before hoping some oil will quiet it down or you may wind up with a dud diff.

Noise is a bad sign, which either means it needs new bearings or it's on its way out, and I doubt oil would help prolong the life or quiet it down. It couldn't HURT I suppose, but I doubt it'd do more than mask an underlying problem if anything.
