Question about axle boot replacment

I want to replace the rear axle boot on my 1968 280SL. I understand that their is a half boot held in place with a band that is compressed. I was looking through the Hazet tool cataloge and the tool that compressthis band looks like 1847-1 the factory MBZ tool has a longer reach on both ends but is not availible.

Also I need to replace the speed decel switch that sit in the engine bay on the left side mounted to a braket. Any ideas as to what other models I may be able to go to a salvage yard and fine this same switch on?

Thank You for the help
