If you are looking for a Mercedes battery I am no help. When I needed a battery for my '67 230SL, I measured the battery box and drew the top of the battery with positive on this corner and negative on this other corner, and went to Sears. From the dimentions and drawing, they can cross it to the "group" number (physical size and shape). For each physical demison (length x width), there are about 6-8 different terminal arangements. Within the group, there are various cold cranking capacities. After determining the gtroup, I just picked the highest rating that they had in stock. If you prefer another brand (like Interstate), once you know the group number, you can special order it. If you are interested, I can look up the group number that is now installed in my car.

thanks jim,
I've contacted interstate and have a few numbers but they didn't have a listing for a 250 only 190s and 300s.the thing is. I'm trying to locate one though my car is 1800 miles away. I want to leave no guess work when I have my cousin go out to buy one for me. I'm having the car shipped to me next week and it needs to start up everytime. I'm not having any luck here in albuquerque. thanks for your research.
darren
