1970 MB 220 for sale-Texas
Preety rough. Parked since 1988. Got it as part of estate sale. Might trade for an old 4x4. Rumor has it it was parked in 1988 after a fender bender on the way home from from new a/c compressor install. 4-spd, 4 cyl. gasser, rolls but unsure of just about everything else. Clear Texas title. Photos available. Lots of original sales material and owner's manuals. Even oil change receipts. Owned by a big-wig in Texas politics.

W114 stickshift
Even if not worth fixing up itself, might be a really good source for anyone looking to do an auto/manual conversion on a 114/115.
Buyer would get all the shifter and clutch parts, etc - and someone on this forum must know which engines, such as M114 or M130 or 616, could accept the flywheel/clutch, as well as what else the front section of driveshaft could work with without modification. Column or floor shift? |

I like my '71 220. Its the only gas engine car I (we) own. Its a 4 speed with manual steering also. I installed a 230.4 from my '75 230 in it when the automatic trans in the later car bit the dust. I have a weber carb and Crane ignition on her, those made a Big difference in performance!
The stick really gets that puppy around well, esp with the 3/07 differential out of my '83 300D in it, that made the car worthwhile on the highways. That one is a parts car. unless someone has a lot of time on their hands!
