Will a type 114 250C Fender fit on a 220D

Any know whether a RH front fender from a 250C (114) fit on a 1970 220D?
The 250C is a coupe and the 220D is a 4 door.

I don't think so. But a quick read of the epc would prove it.
somebody posted a URL for it here last month. -CTH

may be right, but from my experience i would say to be careful. the front ends that look the same sometimes are not.

i bought a fender for my 72 220d and when it came in it had a hole for a fog light which the coupe may need but the 220 did not. so my body guy had to fill it in. this was maybe nearly 20 years ago.

again i just would be careful before spending money on a part that might not be returnable.

Except...

Although they should be the same, a 250C being up through 72 and your 220D being a 70, just make sure both cars are in fact on the same (early) side of the changeover from the early older chrome/euro bumpers with the strap metal steel mounts to the federals with the round collison/shock mounts - the sheetmetal around the bumper mount is different between the versions (as is the centerpiece, as well).
