that's a shame...looks like it used to be a spiffy car. Those cars with the air-ride scare the pants off of me...that's a parts nightmare waiting to happen.

Held up well considering it was hit by a Suburban... must have been a pretty low speed collision.

Easy Fix

I bought my 73 280SEL from Arlington TX which was rear ended recently and much worse then this one. If it spent all its life in that area, there should be very little surface rust and everything will pull out nicely.

see http://www.w108.org/gallery for the pictures.

al: How much did it cost, roughly, to pull it out?

My restoration

About $3.5k paint and labor, they also did all the dings in the car, and gave it a full respray. I bought a trunklid for it, but they decided to repair my old one, so I still have that. This is a lot less work then mine.

dusty

Im reserving that for the 250CE (when I bring it here)
First thing I need to do is repaint that car. I was not happy with the first respray (deep metallic red) so my mechanic at the time convinced me that his brother can do a better job. It ended up being really cheap paint and looked almost dull pink from the moment it came out of the paint shop.

Here is a satalite image if it parked outside my father's house in London
