I am trying to get off the handle of the "control lever for side ventilation" on a 76 450 sel. I am trying to seperate the little section of wood veneer that it passes thru. In my little Mercedes parts book it is at section 83/3 part 234. The little knob is shown as a seperate piece but I am clueless as to how to seperate it. Any help would be appreciated or perhaps a direction to something in the archives. Milt.

OK, I have figured it out. I tried force as a last alternative, and it worked. The little knob is made of a plyant material and it yielded to a rocking pulling motion. Milt.
