Metal Wiper Blades (not inserts) for MB's?

Anyone know of a metal/ chrome wiper blade (not blade insert) for classic MB's? I don't like the look of my black plastic Amco blades currently in place.

Any ideas?

I've got mine in my trunk...I use the Anco's largely becasue I was being lazy and needed wipers, but I have the silver ones in the trunk for when I get energetic and put new inserts in them.

If you get the length right probly any import junk yard blades will fit..... volvo, saab, etc. And if you find a 116 the metal is titanium for the arms that hold the blades.

And has anybody seen those ridiculous "double" blades with dual rubbers? According to my friend at the parts shop they wear out windshield wiper motors, says he's sold a couple of motors to folks that use them.

Aren't they availible from Phil at 'PartsShop' or from Mercedes? Othewise, you could try painting them silver. For a less gaudy aluminum finish, try silver wheel paint. Of course you'll have to figure out how to mask or remove the rubbers first.

Happy Motoring, Mark
