Leaking injector lines

Well, it's happened -- vast quantities of fuel dripping out of the short lines between injectors and rail.

What's the consensus on fixing this -- just get some clamps and fuel line or buy the "kit"?

Gotta be done before I drive it again -- no desire to burn it up on the side of the road!

Peter

clamps and a length of FI line. The injector hose repair kit is a bit overpriced IMO.

One thing, don't cut the lines too long cause the fuel rail will be high and hit the air cleaner housing. When they're the right length the clearance is about 1/4".

peter, i did the "kit," mostly out of ignorance as i was a true novice vintage MB guy then and thought there was some magic to it! Gettin my old (original) clamps off required a dremel as I recall. Tom's right on the price, compared to a length of proper fi hose and the correct clamps, i paid about 1/3 more -- oh well, live and learn

oh yeh, i did the injector "seals" (top and bottom) while I was at it.
