Seeking Oil Filter housing, M130 engine
I have had bad luck with these, and am seeking a spare housing.
I am beginning to question the 4 Mkp (29.5 ft/lbs) torque spec is appropriate for a Oil Filter housing that is 36 years old. I am now using 15 ft/lbs of torque with no leaking of the rubber sealing parts. I e-mailed classicparts@mbusa.com to see what a new one will cost. A used one is $50.00, plus shipping from a recycler. A european website has a price of $48. (new?) http://www.detali.ru/priceInfo.aspx?code=gmbA0001842302 http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp?TP=1&F=108016&M=130%2E920&CT=M&cat=036&SID=18&SGR=001&SGN=01 Part # 87. Does anyone have the MB part number, or has ordered one from a dealer?

What kind of bad luck have you had with the oil filter housing? The MB part number is 000 184 23 02.
