Adding AC

How hard (or easy) is it to add air conditioning to a V8 W108? Those with AC appear to have under-dash units with some differences to the bottom of the dash. Thank you, Jim

i dont know from experience, but the ones with it were i believe dealer installed at least a lot of the time.

so an underdash unit (even an old one from sears, which i have one of), brackets from the junkyard and new dryer and filter etc. i dont see why you couldnt add one.

vintage air may have one that will work too.

i wouldnt use the old york compressor though. an adapter for a sanden comopressor is available from vintage air and at least one other place.
