72' 280se steering wheel...
On a 73' 280c column.
Looking for a replacement for my worn 73' wheel, and this is what I've found so far. Anyone know if it'll fit? Thanks for you help... -Greg

Then basically you're talking about replacing the modern large rectangular center pad wheel with one of the old world huge plastic steering wheels with the chrome horn ring? Dunno but the collar underneath around the steering column might be the tie-breaker. And the horn switch is probly different too. Is the replacement wheel coming from a complete parts car?

Steering Wheels on EBAY
Go to Ebay and look at the Mercedes steering wheels there. You can buy them from $40 to $300, depending on condition and type. The one I bought from Germany for $300 was an original white one -- for my 68 230S, but you can get much cheaper standard ones that will fit your car.

Totally fine
Went to the parts yard and found a wheel from a 70' or so 220, pulled it off, walked to the 74' or so 240 and looked at the difference. Basically, the column was the same, just the wheel had changed. For $11, brought it home, and it fit. Oc course, for $11 its a little beat up. Now I just need to find one without the cracks. Thanks guys.
