w110 230 gas mileage?
I was wondering what the average MPG for a 1967 230 would be? It's an automatic 6 cyl. with dual Zenith carbs. I'm in the process of getting it running and if it will get better mileage than what I'm driving now (18-20 mpg), it would definately be a motivation factor to get it done.

Probably not - or about the same if you're lucky and drive carefully.

My '72 W114 with a M180, manual, twin Zeniths is running about 20-21. The carbs could do with a tweak, tho' i wouldnt be expecting a helluva lot better

I have a 1968 230, automatic, twin zeniths. Best ever: 19 mpg; usually 15-16 around town. But, engine thrashed (I'm in (long) process of swapping in a rebuilt '66 motor). Hope for (maybe a little) better once that's done ...
