Question 300SE 3.5 Coupe?

Hi,
I saw a post on another forum advertising a 1969 300SE 3.5 Coupe for sale. I don't think it is a US version as I have never heard of or seen one. Anyone ever seen one of these? Looks like a 3.5 Coupe with air suspension.

300se 3.5

The ad states the car does not have air suspension but 'sportline' shocks. I believe all w112's have air suspension.

I was just wondering if this is a production auto. I was under the impression that the 300SE was an air suspension car.

300se3.5??

Tony, you are right. According to Tim Slade's reference, book, the big difference on the 112 chassis vs 111 is the air suspension. They all had it regardless of engine. I suppose in theory one could exist, but the only V8 air-suspended cars were the 300SEL3.5, the 300SEL6.3, and the 600. Others have been built (KM has done several) but not as production models from the factory. The 3.5 engine came along after the 112 coupe was no longer in production anyway, by a few years I think.

don't forget the 4.5

300 sel 4.5 also

w109 and w112 models were air suspended as well as the 600.

I believe this car is a 280se 3.5 coupe, only the vin number would tell.

Thanks
Kushal

Thanks for the replys. It's not that big a deal-I was just surprized to learn that there might be another model of 3.5 Coupe. I'm sure the VIN would tell the story.

Here's the ad he's talking about:

The car is in Venezuela.
