Power steering in 108/ 4.5

I am not sure how many vehicals share my ps system but I am having a heck of a time with my 1972.
mid summer after I got the car I noticed my powersteering fluid was leaking. Infact it was foaming up and gushing out of the tank on top of the pump.
I did a bleed and got all of the air out and it stopped dripping, making noises, and being crummy.
In the last few weeks it has been acting up. First it stated dripping, and now it is spraying. I found the tank half full last week and was glad I checked. I filled it up and it has stayed pretty steady.
Most of the leaking is coming from the powersteering box.
The fluid was coming out up not dropping so I tried bleeding it but there didn't seem like there was any air in the system.
It is obvious I need to rebuild it
I mentioned getting the kit in my last thread and going at the core and seals. Has anyone done this to theirs? I really want to know what I am in for.

oh and all hoses are new and in great shape, so I know that isn't my problem.
I can also get some good pictures if that clears anything up for anybody.

Might be easier to find a good used steering box. Or try some oil leak snake oil additive, what have you got to lose? The only times i've heard of these kinda leaks is when modern tranny fluid was used instead of MB power steering fluid at $9 per bottle - a bargain for vintage seals that predate modern oils. I think its a question of nylon and rubber compounds in original seals getting eaten by new chemical tranny fluid additives.

Otherwise yeah, somebody in here press-fitted new seals awhile ago. Said it took 2 tries to get it right even with machine shop doing the work. Search "steering box seal" specific to this forum. Trick as i remember it, was measuring the inset of the original seal and then exactly matching it to spec. They do not fit flush and if pushed too far cannot be pulled back out without destroying them.
