That would be like putting a Daewoo engine in a Enzo.

A S600 Biturbo motor would be more fitting.

Daewoo engine in an enzo may not be the best example. I'm certain that a modified LT1 engine can make a W116 wickedly fast for a fairly small sum compared to an M100 rebuild (I think the going rate is about $12k)

Not to everyone's taste, but if it stops a Mercedes from going to the junk yard, then I'm all for it

How much is a S600 motor? I bets its HUGE. Plus custom intallation. Plus either remove hydraulic suspension from car, or make up some sort of electric hydraulic pump for the suspension, like the BMW M6 has on the rear.

I wonder why that has not been tried already because it would save a few HP due the pump being a drag on the motor.

V12

For some reason, anyone who has every owned or worked on a v12 tells my they are horrible cars to keep going. Whether it's a Jaguar, BMW or Mercedes. I've always wanted a Jaguar V12 (Daimler Double Six to be exact) but the high cost or repair puts me off.

Yes I know my Daewoo/Enzo analogy is ridiculous but if you're going to spend a lot of money modifying one way or another, might as well stick with some sort of MB engine.

Well if a 6.9 rebuilt is $12,000 then a M120 is $14,500.

137.970 engines are on request from Metricmotors

I guess the problem would be attaching the computers to the driving gear along with all the fabrication. That would be a very unique car though.

I hear the same thing but it is usually because these suckers have so many computers, and it is an electrical issue that ruins you day.
