280 wiring diagram.

I am going nuts over this and desperately need some help. I have three copies of the wiring diagram for my 1975, 280SL. All are identical, and came from three different sources. All are for the 107 042 up to chassis # 988.
My chassis # is 605. The problem is the drawings do not match the wiring in my car.
I'm talking about the factory wiring harness. After discussion with my sources,
we came up with two bizarre alternatives: MBz changed the harness between chassis 605 and 988 without bothering to tell anyone or they installed the wrong harness. Something from another model with the 110 engine. Could someone with a 1975 or earlier model 280 with a D-jet look at the color code for the Thermotime switch on their wiring diagram and check for two rs/bl leads and one br/bl. That is what is on my car. My wiring list says should be one rs/bl and one rs. That is just one of many examples. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Anyone else have this problem? e-mail, call, carrier pigeon, car was dismantled based on having a correct wiring diagram.
Thanks

It's under restoration, nothing specific but will need a wiring diagram when time to put together.
